Montclair Veterinary Diagnostics
Looking Deeper into Your Pet’s Health
When your pet isn’t feeling their best, the team at Montclair Animal Hospital is here to help. While we can’t speak the language of your cat or dog, we do have the latest diagnostic technologies available to figure out what’s wrong faster and get them back on all fours.
These diagnostic tools are not only used on sick pets, however. As part of our preventative care and wellness exams, we use diagnostic technology to keep track of your pet’s health on a regular basis. With diagnostics as part of your pet’s regular exams, we can easily identify the changes in their health that can help us pinpoint what’s wrong when they aren’t feeling well. All of this helps us get your pet the treatment they need more quickly.
Diagnostic Testing at Montclair Animal Hospital
As an AAHA accredited animal hospital, Montclair Animal Hospital has a variety of tools at our disposal to diagnose a wide range of conditions.
We offer the following diagnostic services:
- Laboratory testing
- X-ray imaging
In order to get a closer look at your pet’s internal health, we often use our in-house radiological imaging tools. Sometimes a blood test or a physical exam leads us to more questions, which is where radiology can be helpful. X-rays or ultrasounds help us see beyond your pet’s fur or feathers and can help us understand what might be ailing them.
X-rays are useful for taking images of the solid or dense parts of your pet’s body, such as bones or muscles. On the other hand, ultrasounds are helpful for taking a closer look at your pet’s organs and other soft tissues. Both x-rays and ultrasounds are completely pain-free and non-invasive, which means that radiology is a great choice for further information about your pet’s health condition.
