Surgery at Montclair Animal Hospital
Your pet may need surgery for a variety of reasons at any point during their life. From dental cleanings and spaying or neutering, to non-routine surgical procedures, you can trust the team at Montclair Animal Hospital to work in your pet’s best interest. Every procedure we recommend is tailored to meet your pet’s health needs and maximize their quality of life.
We offer the following surgical services:
- Growth and foreign body removals
- Dental cleanings under anesthetic and extractions
Though the above is not a complete list of our offerings, we carefully consider your pet’s health needs before we recommend any surgical procedure. We will never recommend a procedure that doesn’t benefit your pet’s overall health.
As an AAHA accredited animal hospital, we are proud to boast a fully equipped, state-of-the-art surgical suite with the latest anesthesia monitoring equipment. During a surgical procedure, one of our highly trained surgical team members will monitor your pet closely to ensure they remain safe and healthy throughout the procedure.
After surgery, as your pet is beginning to wake up, we keep a close eye on them to ensure they are safe and comfortable as they come out from under the anesthetic.
Post-Surgical Care for Your Pet
Before you bring your pet home following their surgical procedure, one of our veterinary team members will give you detailed instructions on how to best care for them while they recover. We will give you a list of activities to avoid, such as running or bathing, as well as other tips for keeping your pet comfortable while they heal. If you ever have any questions about the healing process, please do not hesitate to give us a call! We want to get your pet back on all fours as soon as possible.
